  2. influenced by the poets Baudelaire and
  3. Rimbaud. His volumes of verse include Poemes
  4. saturniens/Saturnine Poems 1866, Fetes
  5. galantes/Amorous Entertainments 1869 and
  6. Romances sans paroles/Songs without Words
  7. 1874. In 1873 he was imprisoned for
  8. attempting to shoot Rimbaud. His later works
  9. reflect his attempts to lead a reformed life.
